movie about a hacking device?

I'm looking for a movie.
The only thing I can remember about it that it involves a device that
can wireless copy other devices like cellphones.
The device itself looks like a cellphone. A black one.
It was made by some geeky hacker dude.

In the movie they have to copy some crucial information with it.

Does anybody know this movie?
