There are parts that i remember but maybe not accurate. so here they
are
basically its these kids who discover monsters or boogymen that
possibly live underground. they hate the light and like scaring kids.
Some how the kid becomes friends with them. There is a particular
scene that i remember distinctly. its where the kid is with the
monsters in someones house. they go into a babys room to scare it. the
kid is against it as they try to encourage him to scare it.
